If you’ve read this blog at all in the past couple weeks, then you’ve already heard about my upcoming trip to Washington D.C., to participate in a national discussion on building support networks for pregnant and parenting young women.
Sounds good, right?
The highlight of the trip will be a reception on Thursday, March 18, at the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, for the launch of the Young Mothers @ The Margin campaign, which I held a short fundraiser for back in late 2009.
I know there are a bunch of readers in the D.C. area, and I’d like to meet you all! Finally have some faces to put with names and blog titles and e-mail addresses.
If you’d like to attend the reception, please e-mail me at youngmommychronicles@gmail.com so I can know how many readers to expect. Get directions to the reception here.
I love all the support you’ve given me and I want to be able to thank you in person! See you Thursday.
{If you don’t live in D.C., I’m working on getting my butt out of Ohio and making my way around the country for some young mom events. So stay tuned!}
I wish I could be there, but I’m in Illinois…and I can’t get away right now.
@Katie – Where in Illinois do you live? I might be heading to Chicago soon….Is that close to you?
I’m over in Boston, and wish I could attend. Youre gonna be so great!!
I am definitely there!! What time is the reception?
That’s awesome – let me know when you’re in NY!!!
