I’m so impressed with the generosity of the YML community! My original goal was to raise $500 and so far, we’re at $260! The first fundraising effort is over, but I created another one to in case the generosity continues to flow. 
This is a reminder that if you want to apply for the scholarship, you have three more days to do so! The scholarship contest ends at 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 17. After that, you’re going to have to wait until next year. (Oh, yes, you didn’t think this would be a one-time thing, did you?)
So fire up that computer and send over that application! I’m rooting for you.

Just a quick note to tell you how awesome I think this blog is! I’ve been reading for awhile. I’ve commented a few times before. I’m not sure if I can consider myself a young Mom anymore – I am 30 and my sons are 1 and 4. But – I am a lawyer so when I had my first son at 26, I was considered young for my profession. More relevantly, I suppose, my mom had my oldest brother at 19 and she put herself through college and grad school with the three of us in tow! She even went through a divorce when I was six so most of it she did completely alone! I think your blog is amazing, supportive and I can only imagine what this sort of support would have done for my mom when she was going through it. Keep up the amazing work, Tara! Your deeds do not go unnoticed.
