Apply HERE to win the YML Scholarship!

The fundraising for the Young Mommy scholarship is in full swing and I could not be more grateful for the support around the web. Just look at some of these posts:

It Takes A Village: The Young Mommy Life Scholarship Program

Making Opportunities With YML

Craziness! :)

I’m going to be making a big push for donations over the next three days so please don’t get tired of me. I’m only doing this to make a difference, I promise.

Ready to apply? Here are the details:

1) Send a 300-word essay detailing why you are studying your chosen field to youngmommychronicles@gmail.com. Have you dreamed of being a psychologist since you were a child? Did you take up nursing because you think nurses rock the planet? Tell me what your dreams are so we can get a sense of who you are.

2) Please be prepared to verify enrollment in an institution of higher education. We will need to see a fall 2011 schedule.

3) All entries will be judged by our scholarship panel! Three moms (who have been in school themselves as moms) will be judging the entries and selecting their top two.

If you’d like to enter, go ahead and get started on your essay! Share this with anyone you know who might be interested. Let’s start a movement where young moms take care of other young moms. It takes a village so let’s be the village.

    • I’m Jade, a single mom of 2, I have 12 year old daughter and 7 yr old son….I am doing my research as of now when your website got my attention….Honestly, i’m already 32 yrs old going back to school as a 1st year college student taking up business administration..I enrolled this subject coz I believe I can apply it someday for my kids…when i was in high school, i dreamed to be a police woman but this dream was lost when i turned down my moms plan for me…I admit i was once rebellious coz of my bitter mom then I come to realize my mistakes….I got married at age 20 but it only lasted for 5 years and for now it’s already 6rs when he abandoned our kids and no where abouts…I left my kids with my mom for me to go to college with the assistance of my uncle and his. They were the one who encourage me to go back to school and I thank them a lot for giving me an allowance of P4,000 a month for my board and lodging and school supplies. People discriminates me but they dont know what I feel when im alone,,I struggle and cry but it challenges me to pursue my studies not for me but for my children.. I never shared my life like this to anybody else and writing to this site helps me a lot coz i feel like i found someone to talk with in this site that silently listens to my woe….pls advice me how to be a strong person that will stand and be a good mother to my kids….I know this is not the right site for sharing problems,, it happened that I was surfing for my assignment and this is is what I found….a silent listener….God Bless…pls do not publish my email add…thanks
