Summer Fun At Cedar Point (Featuring The New Roller Coaster GateKeeper)

947109_10151405122556463_544973808_nFor the second year, I got a chance to hang out with the great folks at Cedar Point for their bloggers day. As I said last year, while I’m not a big roller coaster fan, I do love the heck out of an amusement park. And since Cedar Point is practically in my backyard, I’m trying to make it a point to go with the kids every year.

As soon as we pulled up, we saw the newest ride, the GateKeeper. Now, this is the world’s largest winged roller coaster. At first glance, it doesn’t look *that* intimidating, like the Top Thrill Dragster. But then you see it in action and you’re just like, “Who designed that?! Why would they do that to people?!” It’s intense.

Since it’s a winged coaster, it’s like you’re flying. And that makes lil’ ol me want to poop my pants. Yeah, I said it.

My kids had a blast this year and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. They enjoyed the Scrambler, the Woodstock Express, and the rest of the kids rides in Camp Snoopy, Planet Snoopy, Gemini’s Children Area, and Kiddy Kingdom. They even had a bouncy house for kids who really just need to burn off some energy (like my son).

One of the best parts of the day was getting to hang out with the other bloggers and enjoy the delicious Cedar Point food. I’ve been to quite a few amusement parks, and I have to say that Cedar Point does not disappoint. One added note: My baby girl has a wheat allergy so they made her some delicious gluten-free chicken tenders. Love, love, love that they can cater to guests with different types of food allergies!

If you’re planning to go to Cedar Point this summer, check out their tips for families so you can make sure you have the best time. Bring a stroller or a wagon to load your stuff in and make sure you lather up with sunscreen ’cause it gets hot walking around in the sun all day.

For all of you who love roller coasters, I’ve got a HUGE giveaway coming up that you won’t want to miss. Make sure you sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss the announcement!

I am from Toledo, OH, born and raised there. We are 45 minutes from Cedar Point and I loved going every year with my family! The greatest amusement park in the world!

  2. We can’t wait for opening day of Cedar Point this year. If you are interested in writing a guest post for us on food allergies and how CP was able to accommodate your needs, we would love it!
