Need Help Getting Your Career On Track? Read This Post And Buy This Book

When I was pregnant with my daughter five years ago (has it been that long? geez), I picked up the standard pregnancy books and devoured each and every one of them as if my life depended on it. Because it did.

I don’t know how many other ways I can tell you that I was scared beyond belief. I just…wasn’t ready. Wasn’t prepared. Going from childless to “Mom” is about the biggest change you can make in your life and here I was sailing in without a parachute.

But as I’ve said many, many times before, there is no real guide to getting your life together after an unplanned pregnancy.

How do you move forward? What do you do about your job? How do you budget when money is tight to begin with? How do you strengthen the relationship with your child’s father (or transition to simply being co-parents) while pregnant and during the child’s first few years of life?

Basically I wanted to know:

How does a woman (who doesn’t have it all figured out) adjust to motherhood?

Since I couldn’t find it on shelves, I decided to write it myself and get input from the young mothers I know to help flesh it out. At first, it was going to be a massive book with chapters on love, relationships, co-parenting, stress, money matters, school advice and more. I’m talking 300+ pages of content.

But I decided to break it up in more manageable chunks to 1) make sure that moms were able to get the information that was most valuable to them, and 2) give me more time to devote to writing each section. As it is, I’m locking myself in the bathroom to write. :)

I’m happy to announce that TODAY, you can buy the first book on Amazon.com. Make It Happen: The Young Mommy Guide To Creating A Career You Crave is available as a Kindle download. Don’t have a Kindle? No problem. You can download it to your computer, BlackBerry, Android phone, Mac, iPhone, iPad or PC.

I admit that I tried to price it low to make it affordable for you. At $5.99, I hope you feel it’s a fair price. I guarantee that you’ll get your money’s worth! So what’s in the book? I’m glad you asked. My book by numbers:

  • 5 questions to ask to help you identify your true passion
  • 28 tips to help you be a go-getter at work
  • 3 reasons being a young mom will be a boost to your career, not a hindrance (no matter what nay-sayers tell you!)
  • 30 tips to save some serious money this year and beyond
  • 3 steps to making sure people respect your “me-time”
  • 7 tips to make motherhood just a tad easier as a working mom
  • 3 steps to a successful online presence
  • PLUS 20 side hustles you can start TODAY

Sounds awesome, right? I definitely agree. :) To order the book, click here. If you download the book and find it helpful, I’d love it if you could leave a review on Amazon. Then let me know you did it so I can forever be grateful for you. :)
