time to breathe

Okay, I do NOT mean to leave you all hanging, but I’ve got an insanely busy life right now and I’m spinning in circles. This is not good.

I’m behind in everything – laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, projects from my day job and I’ve got to stop, take a breath and get my life in order. My babies are eating oranges like they’re going out of style because that’s all we have in the house. This is bad.

I will have posts up this week, but I gotta let you know that I’m working hard to balance everything. I’m a work in progress, you know?

  1. {{{HUGS}}} Aren’t we all a work in progress? These last two weeks have been visits to doctors for my children (and the dentist – aaah!), all the while I have a huge project at work, and am trying to get the house “spring” cleaned (will settle for not embarrassingly dirty at this point). My light at the end of the tunnel is Margaritas on friday with my good girlfriends. Do you have something fun to look forward to?

    • @Cheryl – Yes, that’s what I need to do – get my house “not embarassingly dirty” – right now, I shudder when I walk inside. Oh my. My light at the end of the tunnel is lattes with my friend on Wednesday…our weekly coffee/convo meetings always help clear my mind. :)

  2. Aww! Take your time and get things together – we understand, and will be patiently waiting for you when you’re all caught up! (Im sure many of us have been there as well).

P.S. At least its oranges they’re eating everyday, and not only cookies you have in the cabinet! LOL!!! Now THAT would not be good. 😉

    • @Yakini – You should have heard my kids yesterday. It was cold outside, their dad was out of town and I just didn’t feel like lugging those two to the grocery store by myself. So they start whining: “We’re hungry.” Me: “Have an orange.” An hour later: “We’re hungry.” Me: “Have an orange.” 30 minutes later: “We’re hungry.” Me: “Have an orange.” LOL! So, so bad. But like you said, at least it wasn’t cookies. :)

  3. It is so important for us moms to keep a good balance in every facet of out busy lives. You don’t worry about the blog. It’s not going anywhere. I hope you are taking care of yourself young lady! I sure do know how hectic life can get. It will all come together. ((hugs))

  4. You definitely need to take some time for yourself and get things back to how you want them. We’ll still be here for ya! I promise I won’t disappear just because you’re busy with real life and haven’t blogged in a couple days. On a side note, I had to laugh about the oranges…and the cookie comment. Its funny to me because most of the time, all I can get my son to eat is pizza, spaghetti, bread, or vanilla wafers, which we call “cookies”. So, from the minute he wakes up til bedtime, its “cookies? cookies?” Now, he’d be thrilled if I had nothing in the house but wafers…

    • @Katie – Aww, thanks, Katie! You’re a great “regular” to have around. Where do you live again? Gonna have to plan a meet-up where you live. :)

And yes, we call vanilla wafers “cookies” too. My kids could eat a whole box if I let ’em.

  5. I live in Rockford, IL…about 2 hours away from Chicago. That’d be awesome to have a meet-up around here!! I thought it was only my son who’d eat an entire box of wafers if I let him. Good to know other kids like them too :) I actually keep at least 2 emergency boxes hidden around the house…lol

  6. Oh, and I was meaning to ask you…every time I click the “subscribe to follow-up comments” box, it never works for me…any idea what I’m doing wrong? I’m too computer illiterate to figure out how to make it work for me…

    • @Katie – I e-mailed my designer so hopefully she’ll be able to figure out what’s wrong. :)

We’ve all been there as mothers. So take your time, get some rest and take it easy. We will be here when you get back.
