Luxury for less: Diaper bags

This baby bag is goregous, practical and roomy enough to fit all baby’s necessities. Plus, once you no longer need a “diaper bag” it’s cute enough to work for you.

Problem? It’s $500. Way too much to spend on a bag that may or may not be carrying puke-stained clothes at one some point.

At $150 (sale price $135) this bag still may be out of reach for my cash-strapped mamas. (I do count myself in that group.) But it’s way more affordable and I bet you could get some major mileage out of it.

So even better:

This roomy tote from Target is simple with just a touch of girly. At $35, it’s quite a steal.

I LOVED the first two….until I saw the price of them! When do kids get to the stage where they don’t need disper bags anymore? Between my purse, carrying my son in his car seat, and his diaper bag, it’s no wonder I need physical therapy! I don’t know if I over pack it or what but it’s so heavy! I can’t wait until I’m able to just carry a tote with the both of our things in it…and he’s walking so I don’t have to carry him of course ;-)

When do kids get to the stage where they don’t need diaper bags anymore? I’ll let you know when I get there. I think once they’re potty trained (no accidents) it gets a lot easier. I don’t have to pack as much stuff for Ayanna, but I do have to still make sure we have at least one diaper and wipes and maybe some snacks.
