How many kids do you want to have?

I’m a young mom, and with 1.5 kids (soon to be two any day now), I think I’m done. No, not think, I know. I know I’m done having kids.

But everyone I know thinks I’m crazy for deciding this at 22. With two kids already, don’t I have a right to step back and say, “Okay, this is all I can handle?” Sure, I might change my mind later (highly, highly, highly doubt it), but at this point in my life, some certainty about my reproductive future is in order.

I can’t imagine myself with three kids, much less the 18 of the ever-growing Duggar family (pictured at left). And at 22, I think I’m old enough to make that decision for myself.

So what do you say? How many kids do you want? Can you see yourself pregnant at 30? 35? 40?

18 kids?!!!!! You’ve got to be kidding me. Did he get pregnant some of those times? That’s just….wow. At 23, I’ve decided the fate of my reproductive future as well: it will cease to exist to me from now on. Patience is something I’ve struggled with all my life, and I still do as a first time parent. I barely have the patience for one crying baby who won’t stop, let alone 2, 3 or 18! I got to experience pregnancy, then labor & delivery and it’s not something I want to experience again!

    So my answer is ONE!

Im 26. I want 3 MORE! I enjoyed my pregnancy, want a big family and enjoy being a mom. However it is not something I want nor WILL do by myself ever again. So until I get a he it will just be me and baby girl.
