YML Gives Back: Meet Rebecca

I love it when I can hear about someone who was down on their luck, had some trying life situations and a sense of hopelessness about their future, and then get a chance to see the transformation that occurs when people care enough to act.

Meet Rebecca. A mom at 14, she addressed the crowd at the National Crittenton Foundation’s 125th anniversary ceremony, telling a poignant story of how she has overcome mental and physical abuse, with the help of people who cared.

There are TONS of women like Rebecca. Tons of women who need that support and love and guidance that organizations like Crittenton provides.

Again, I ask each of my blog readers to each donate $1. We’re making great progress and I’m sure that we can hit $500 by December 31.

So click here to donate $1, and then hit one of those Share buttons at the bottom of this post, spreading the word about the Young Mothers @ The Margin (www.atthemargin.org) campaign.

Let’s help women like Rebecca, who only need one person to care before their situation improves dramatically and their lives are forever changed.
