An easier way to go up the nose?

UBIMED Cleanoz Nasal Aspirator Kit

I know I struggle with getting the mucus (snot?) out my kids’ nose. I’m no good at it. My poor babies suffer every time they get a cold.

I’m beginning to think it’s my old-school aspirator. I mean, if I graduated magna cum laude from college, birthed two babies, got glowing reviews during my first year of full-time employment, there is no way I am too dumb to squeeze a stupid bulb.

So when I saw this battery-operated aspirator on Lil Sugar by way of Amazon, I thought, hmm, maybe this could be the answer?

But I don’t want to pay $30 for it.

Anyone ever tried anything like this? Or does anyone have any tips for me to use the stupid bulb better? My kids deserve better…lol.

  1. I bought cleanoz for my daughter who has had horrible time breathing when she gets sick. This product worked perfectly and was able to alleviate my daughters struggling to breathe. All I did was drop a few drops of saline solution in her nose to loosen up the snot, and then I used the Cleanoz. It was great. I had to use it a couple more times that day to help her keep breathing well. And the best part was that at the end of the day, I threw away the nozzle. I didn’t have to clean anything. The next day she was still a little congested and so I used a new nozzle piece, and it worked great again. Thank you for making such a great product. She actually likes it now when I use the Cleanoz. She HATED the bulb syringe.

  2. If I had a $30 extra bucks laying around I’d get this thing. I hate using the bulb as well. Especially since my son is at the stage where not only can he turn his head away, but he can grab my hands and push them away which makes for an even bigger struggle :-/

  3. WARNING: NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH WEAK STOMACHS!!! This is REAL gross, but it works and it’s FREE!!! The best aspirator for babies is for you to suck it out and spit it out!!! A friend of mine told me to try it when my oldest was a baby – I did it, it worked, and I have done it with all of my boys. (smile!)

  4. I might have the try this next time my kids get stuffed up. Because that bulb thingy is not working.

  5. Yeah, I’ve never really been able to get it. My hubby on the other hand can just get in and out with no problem and the kids just let him do it. I guess they can sense that mommy has no skills so they fight me. LOL.

  6. Hmmm….sounds like it might be worth a try, if I ever had $30 laying around. LOL.
