The Walgreens “Way To Well” Health Tour Is Coming To A City Near You

You know the last time I’ve been the doctor? I don’t even want to think about it. I go to the gynecologist pretty regularly, if only to keep my lady parts in working order in case another little human takes up residency, but other than that, I’ve been slipping on my own health care.

I’m sure I’m not the only one. For those of us who have been putting off going to the doctor and getting those important tests done, Walgreens has a new campaign to help us get on top of our health.

Its new “Way To Well” Health Tour with AARP is working reach those in underserved communities get access to free health tests, including:

– Cholesterol

– Glucose

– Blood Pressure

– Body Mass Index

– Body Composition

– Skeletal Muscle

– Reseting Metabolism

– Visceral Fat

– Real Body Age

The national mobile tour focuses on the prevention and early detection of three of today’s leading diseases: heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Along with the free tests there will be educational materials and consultations. Anyone 18 or older is eligible to stop by and you don’t need to have insurance to take advantage. Find the “Way to Well” stop nearest you here.

Along with the AARP, the other partners with Walgreens’ Way to Well tour are the American Heart Association (AHA), American Cancer Society (ACS), American Diabetes Association (ADA), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The tour kicks off in Cleveland (my neck of the woods!) and Milwaukee July 12 and the tour buses will hit the rest of the nation, and Puerto Rico through December.

Take a half hour out of your day and get tested and know where your health stands. You owe it to yourself!

Disclosure: I was compensated for this post, but all opinions are my own. I encourage all of you to take advantage of these health screenings if they are in your area.
