For the man who has everything

It’s been a while since I wrote a post dedicated to my husband.

I don’t know why, because he’s on the top of my mind every single day. I don’t know how I would make it through without him. Honestly.

Today is his 29th birthday and in some ways I’m sad because I swear it feels like I just met him, the mature, ambitious, caring 22-year-old who gave me chills whenever we spoke.

We’ve had our shares of ups and downs, especially as we transitioned from a couple to a family of three and then a family of four. But through it all I’ve seen a resolve in him to make our family better and that makes me love him all the more.

I admit a few times during the years, I’d pull up a chair to the computer to write something about him and my mind would go blank because I wasn’t sure what to say. I mean, how do you express that you feel so continually blessed because you have someone in your life who loves you, who isn’t obligated to love you, who loves you even you’re at your worst?

He’s seen everything about me and he chose to stay. When I say EVERYTHING, I mean everything. He’s seen my internal organs - TWICE – for pete’s sakes! (During my two C-sections for those scratching their heads.)

When I look at our lives up until the day that we met, I’m realizing decisions we made when we were 6, 8, 15, 17, led us to each other. How divine is that? If I hadn’t chosen to go to KSU and live in the dorm that I did, I probably wouldn’t have met him. If he had chosen to simply get a job around undergrad and not go on to grad school at KSU, we probably wouldn’t have met.

But he IS in my life and there are no words to say how lucky I am. He is a great dad, husband, brother, son, friend, employee, lover, grandson, nephew, etc. Everything he is, he excels at.

So happy birthday, honey! I love you more than words can say!

Such a special guy deserves a special gift. I recommend the FlashHarp®, the world’s first and only harmonica USB flash drive. It really plays, costs under $50, plus its preloaded “Five Basic Steps” video lesson (taught by yours truly) demystifies what bewilders, confounds and often discourages many a would-be harmonica player. Result: instead of putting it down, he’ll start to pick it up. The 3¼” FlashHarp is big on outdoorsy style, empowering him to feel good about carrying even if he couldn’t care a lick about learning to play. In sum, FlashHarp® offers something plain, vacuous flash drives don’t: A musical soul earned through the harmonica’s hard-earned odyssey into the heart of American music. Learn more about the FlashHarp at http://www.backyardbrand.com. Demo it at: http://www.harmonicausbdrive.com. Here’s a nice little article about FlashHarp from today’s issue of my hometown Landmark newspaper ( http://www.rblandmark.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=1&ArticleID=5615&TM=66502.34 ). See me perform a bit at http://www.flashharp.com
