For me, it’s a tie between Jasmine and Ariel. I love Jasmine because (like you) I also felt that she was the Disney princess that little black girls could relate to most. I also LOVE Indian culture, the beautiful bright colors in the movie and the wonderful soundtrack.

Ariel is my other favorite because she was different; not only for the obvious reason that she was a mermaid, but because she has red hair and though she seemed to have everything that a “girl” could want, what she wanted most was something she theoretically could never be (human). I also LOVED that soundtrack as well (in fact, to this day I often find myself singing the title song “Part of Your World”; I have issues I know LOL!).

I so love your website!

I am an avid black doll collector and black memorbilia and am SO EXCITED for this new disney film! Like your title said… “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE”

Please consider me for the drawing. I would so love to have the picture frame to add to my black memorbilia collection.

MY FAVORITE DISNEY CHARACTER: Pocohantaus.
WHY: Because I thought out of all the characters she most looked like me. I have been told my whole life, R U BLACK? Do you have INDIAN IN YOUR FAMILY? LOL.
I also enjoyed the music…. “Just Around The River Bend” reigned in my house and I even gave my god-daughter a Pocahantaus birthday party who at 16 is still talking about it.

Its a GREAT DAY at Disney! I am SO EXCITED.

How adorable! I can’t wait to hear more about Princess Tiana. Sounds like you had an amazing time in Disney. 2 hour dining in the VIP section honey!! Is that how you’re rolling?!!! LOL

Ok, the contest. My favorite princess is Pocahontas. In fact, since I used to have really long hair as a kid, and I was “mixed looking” (don’t get me started on that) my cousins would always call me Pocahontas.

Just got home and checking out this giveaway! *squeals* I’d love to have this frame so I can put one of my Princess Tiana Halloween pictures in it!!!! Hey, why not… I don’t have a daughter, so it would be alllll MINE! Hehe

My fave princess is definitely Ariel b/c I expected to become a mermaid by my 13th birthday; then my 16th birthday; then my 18th. Now, I just watch them on TV
