I know me time is a very hard thing to get, so I stopped looking at it in terms how long it is, but rather how often. You know what? This is too long - I'm just gong to have to write a post about it!

Man Ms. Bar B, I am soooooooo feeling what you said!

Me time? What's that? Oh, is that the time you get to sit down on the toilet and barely get finished before your baby is crying for you? The 5 min shower you rush through? Or the few spare minutes I have time to sit down and check/comment on my favorite website? ;-) Single mothers don't get me time, sick days, naps when you need one, etc!

Know what you mean! Sometimes I can't even cross everything off my grocery shopping list. Especially if I happen to be in the store on the day after the shipment of fresh goods comes in, and I have to wait another week, because I prefer to by fresh produce.

I guess that's just life, there are no guarantees, just options.

Yep, the "to-do" lists are endless... and like you said, the majority of the time everything rarely gets checked off, just transferred to the next list. I think many of us suffer from the "super woman syndrome", for us black women, that translates into the "strong black woman syndrome". We just simply schedule in too many things for the amount of available time that we actually have.

In such a fast paced world its hard to slow down and actually make realistic daily goals/plans. Realizing that as a mother, there will ALWAYS be something to do, thus, there will ALWAYS be something left undone helps me out sometimes,
