For me, one of the worst aspects of breastfeeding was the horribly ugly nursing bras. I understand you might not want to purchase a really pretty patterned bra that’s ultimately going to spend more time soaked in breastmilk than you would like. But come on. Most of the bras on the market are just ugly.
So I decided to buy nursing tank tops, for two reasons. One, they usually come in more colors than the standard nursing bra, such as this pretty powder blue number from Target ($16, Target.com), so you don’t feel limited to the standard white, black, or nude. Two, you’re able to nurse without having to lift up your shirt and have your belly (which you’re probably not too proud of yet) all exposed.
