Save a ton on kids’ clothes!

While I’m not exactly living paycheck to paycheck, I don’t exactly get the appeal of spending tons of cash on my kids clothes. Why buy $40 shoes for a newborn? Or even for a kid under 5?

As my daughter is getting older and I can’t just toss a onesie on her and go, I have to be conscious about how much I’m spending on her clothes. A co-worker with three babies of her own hipped me to Once Upon A Child.

Now I’ve seen the cutesy looking signs hanging outside the store, but I had never ventured inside and didn’t even know what the store sold.

Then one day after my co-worker told me about it, we went in.

Oh.my.

I think I found heaven.

Rows and rows of kids’ clothes. Cute summer dresses, Ralph Lauren polos, Old Navy khakis – basically JUST.MY.STYLE.

And the kicker is that the clothes were literally half the price they would have been if I had gone to the individual stores to buy them. True, the clothes are used, but I toss all my daughter’s clothes in the washer before she wears them for the first time, anyway.

This is by far the best mommy tip I’ve ever received. Check out their website and find a location near you to join in on the savings! Let me know how your shopping trip went!

  1. Just found out about swapbabygoods, looks like they have a lot of bargains too, if you are in to online stuff like me.

  2. I was there this weekend, I snatched my son up 3 “Knuckleheads” brand shirts for $2.50 each NEW WITH TAGS! Oh and a Tony Hawk outfit for $5, a pair of NEW Gap camo jeans for $5, and for my daughter a NWOT Gap fair isle sweater for $2.50 and 77 Kids brand sweatshirt for $2. I LOVE that place! Not to mention I sold them a bin of MY kids outgrown clothes and made $76! I walked away with money IN my pocket! Woot!

  3. And a tip for you, if you have bigger brand name clothes your kids outgrew, (ie: Gymboree, Gap, Crewcuts, 77 Kids, Ralph Lauren) learn to sell them on eBay… I sell all my four kids gently used clothes there and make a ton of money, then I go to Once Upon A Child with all the left over No Name Brand or hard to sell items and make mo’money! I end up paying pennies for my kids clothes at the end of the year.

  4. Consult with an asylum attorney and make sure that you have enough time left on your visa
status to ensure your stay after being denied. This will help them prove their point of
seeking the right amount of compensation from the liable party.
After all, if a claimant is saying that she hurt her neck
but has completely recovered, there is no obvious evidence that the injustice occurred.
